Wine Blending Experience and Chef's Table Long Lunch

Wine Blending Experience and Chef's Table Long Lunch

Your experience begins the moment you drive down the tree-lined driveway to our estate and arrive at the historic Tahbilk Estate Cellar Door.

We meet at the Len Evans Museum, where you are guided by your wine ambassador on how to taste wine like a winemaker, exploring the difference between two red wine varietals and their unique palate. Delve into why we blend wine and the way we do it at Tahbilk. Using your new-found knowledge, combine different varietals to create your own signature red wine blend to bottle and label on the day.

Continue your experience at the Tahbilk Estate Restaurant, a short stroll across the orchard from the Len Evans Museum, where your reservation will have your group seated together at the best table available in the house. If the weather is fine, this will be on our restaurant deck overlooking the picturesque Wetlands, or alternatively, in the cooler months, we will seat you by our fireplace with an outside view.

Our Head Chef, Jonathon Mackeson, will create a three-course menu that has been thoughtfully paired with three of our most iconic wines.  He will personally explain the significance behind wine and food pairing and why his selection works so well.

To commemorate your experience, you get to take home the bottle of your own signature blend, one of our iconic Old Vines Cabernet Shiraz and Tahbilk’s 150 Years of Vintage History Book.

This experience is limited to 8 participants. Bookings are essential.

The duration of the experience is 4.5 hours. Cost is $250/person.

We look forward to welcoming you!
