Made available in a dedicated Presentation Box | A bouquet of marinated Christmas cake fruits, dates and figs on a palate that is rich and long, long, long. Nutty rancio characters dominate backed up by the figs and dates, then at the end a hint of green tea cleans the palate to that long, dry finish.

Warm, dark fruits are interwoven with eucalypt and dried herbs, sweet spice notes, a dash of black olive and cedary French oak. Expected tannins sit supportively on a finish that is like the horizon never met … going on forever.

A symphony of deliciously ripe dark plum and red berry fruits is joined by a background chorus of black pepper, exotic spices and liquorice notes. Well integrated French oak and earthy tannins give supporting structure to a wine of style and distinction.

Layers of dark and red berry fruits that are teased out  with eucalypt, Chinese five spice, earth and dark chocolate notes. Herbal and cedar hints  from time spent in American and French oak taking that complexity further, with savoury  tannins on the finish giving structure.

Displaying all the elements of the remarkable pedigree of our ‘1927 Vines’ Marsanne releases, this 2016 vintage brings penetrating straw, ginger spice and citrus fruit aromas to a still evolving palate of nashi pear, grapefruit and honeysuckle notes.

Lively crimson-red colour; it is open-fermented and spends 18 months in a mix of French oak of various sizes and ages. It has a delicious, albeit unexpected, edge of red cherry fruit on the medium-bodied palate; the core is black cherry and plum, and the tannins are particularly good. A very appealing wine. True to Estate varietal aromas and flavours of intense and concentrated cassis and blackcurrant alongside dominant green herbal characters of tomato leaf and mint on the palate.

Showing some typical aged Marsanne development on the nose ... toasty, honeysuckle, and a hint of marzipan. The nose gives indication for some complexity on the palate that is delivered alongside still youthful traditional lemon and lime characters on the palate. Subtle hints of lanolin on a deliciously clean finish.

Lifted citrus and tropical fruits with a clean minerality and hints of honeysuckle, its time on yeast lees has contributed nutty, bready elements into the mix.

Robust and spicy with ripe plum, mulberry and savoury black pepper notes, there is a rich and warming earthiness to this release that is complemented by chewy, black tea like tannins that will support further development if cellared.
