Representing the five generations of Purbrick family involvement on the Estate the winemaking team have drawn on the individual character of each of the five varietals that are blended here to deliver a white that resonates with lifted citrus, tropical and stone fruit characters. Textured and bright with dazzling acidity … a wine for all gens!
Purchased by Reginald Purbrick in 1925, five generations of the Purbrick family have been actively involved at Tahbilk bringing a tradition of pride, hard work and a love of good wine to their unique heritage of being the oldest family-owned winery and vineyard in Victoria.
To celebrate the Purbrick family's generational connection with Tahbilk, our winemakers craft two distinctive releases, this White blend, and its partner Red, drawing on five distinctive Estate varietals for each.

2024 VintageSurprises aren’t really something that I like, in fact after 20 years in the wine industry, you would think that nothing surprises me anymore, but every year it seems that the season does.Once again there was high disease pressure, which was partly a carry-over from the previous season, compounded by the intermittent rain and weather events. There also wasn’t the heat that we have seen in previous years, no days above 40 degrees, but none-the-less the season resulted in with the whites and reds ripening at the same time, and organised chaos of vintage once again upon us.Our first pick was on the 12th February, and our last on the 21st March, so a speedy six weeks and we had everything into the Winery.Yields were overall slightly below average, but quality is looking good, with what I would consider a very good year for the whites overall and selected parcels of reds are outstanding.Comparing vintages seems pointless, as every year brings with it its own set of challenges, and 2024 was no different. The final decision is yours as our 2024 are released, when you will be able to enjoy for yourself the outcomes of another challenging but always rewarding, season.Jo Nash - General Manager and Winemaker

Lifted and expressive with a texture and palate weight reflective of the French Pinot Gris style, fresh floral and spice notes usher in this Estate 2024 vintage release that then guide you to a bright, fruit-driven palate where citrus and pear fruits are joined by apple and honeysuckle notes.
From a vintage that delivered very good to outstanding wines, the fruit intensity of our 2024 Marsanne is signature to this unique Estate varietal. Lifted citrus and tropical fruits are framed by a bright minerality with delicious toast and honeysuckle richness undoubtedly coming with age ... if you have the willpower to resist its absolute enjoyment right now!
Five Estate varietals are blended here to represent each of the five generations of Purbrick family involvement on the Estate .... a bright, expressive and totally delicious ‘Five Generations’ Red.
A vivacious early drinking wine of considerable character, this is a true to form Estate Viognier ... classic ginger spice and rose petal aromas surround a palate of stone fruits and honeysuckle notes. Early and often would be the recommended drinking for this release ...
