The 2023 Tahbilk Flood Blend
At Tahbilk, we like to say that every bottle tells a story, so in that case, the stories behind this Flood Blend will be some of the best.
It is not only the story of the wine and the season that contributes, but to me it is the story behind the Estate, the People, and how we unify when a disaster occurs.
Back in October 2022, Tahbilk Estate bore the brunt of a 1 in 100 year flood, which affected our vines, impacted yields for the current harvest, destroyed parts of our beautiful land; but most importantly it affected us The Tahbilk team.
This wine to our team, is not only a representation of the season, but also speaks to the wonderful Tahbilk team. Some of the things we saw, we endured and we had to deal with at that time, are memories that will stay with us for ever. It was a moment in time, that changed us, and through all the devastation, tears and disaster, we as Tahbilk, remembered what was special to us, and you know we just got on with it.
I have been lucky enough to make a lot of wines over the years, but I don’t think there is a wine that I have been more proud of. This wine represents resilience, determination and dedication, it represents the wonderful people here on the Estate, that I am privileged to work with on a daily basis.
So, as you enjoy this wine, think of the season, and think of us. Thank you for your support.

What To Expect
The Flood Blend is an aromatic, dry white wine with fresh acidity, lively aromas of citrus, passionfruit and an intensity that leaps out of the glass providing a lasting finish. It is a wine for a spring or summers day, best enjoyed in its youth and in the company of friends or family.
Don't Take Our Word For It ...
"Very pale lemon. Aromatic with yellow stone fruit, rose water, white blossoms, passion fruit seeds, chalk, raw macadamias, yellow citrus and a touch of crab apple.
Juicy and fresh palate, balanced by depth and weight from the Rhone varieties.
Clean and fresh finish with chalky minerality, fine spice and bright acidity. A delicious bottle of resilience."
