A little about the Tower range ...
Tahbilk’s iconic pagoda-style lookout tower, designed by Tahbilk’s visionary manager of the day Francois Coueslant, was built in 1882 and played an integral role to early winemaking, gravity feeding the crushed grapes to the fermenters and cellars below. It also provided a point of elevation in an otherwise flat landscape from which vineyard workers and their supervisors could be observed.
Whilst no longer having a functional role to play at the Winery it is still emblematic of Tahbilk and our rich history ... a fact recognised and celebrated with ‘The Tower’ range of red and white releases crafted exclusively for the Export market.
This 2019 release is intense and lifted with bright jasmine and lemon scents on a juicy palate of tropical and citrus fruits underscored by a still fresh minerality with the classic aged Marsanne toasty, marmalade and honeyed characters just beginning to peek from under the covers.
Enjoy now and out to 2027/2029.
