There are some nine hectares of Riesling under vine on the Estate with plantings dating back to 1957 and Tahbilk’s familiarity with the varietal is second only to that of Marsanne when it comes to Estate white varietals.
Wines produced over time are distinguished by their pronounced bouquet and elegance with wonderful flavour and finesse.
Highly regarded on the National Wine Show Circuit - 6 Trophies, 40 Gold, 98 Silver and 294 Bronze Medals awarded to date - Tahbilk Riesling has the propensity to
develop added richness, character and complexity with time in the cellar.

Marsanne and Riesling were the standout Whites from the 2019 vintage ... ripe and full of true to varietal characters. This 'Cellar Riesling' is showing some delicious early bottle development with a deepened yellow colour and pronounced nose alongside a lovely balance of youthful acidity and evolving toasty notes on the palate.
There is potential for further ageing but totally enjoyable now with a ginger bok choy soup with noodles for those without the required will-power.
