Offering lush tropical and citrus marmalade characters with sweet honeysuckle touches; a fresh and mineral-like grape acidity on the finish allows the delightful sweetness to shine through without being cloying.

    About this winei

First planted on the Estate in the 1860s, Tahbilk has the largest single holding of Marsanne worldwide including vines dating back to 1927 that are amongst the oldest in the world.
Cutting the canes of the vine and allowing the fruit to hang prior to harvest concentrates the flavours and sugars to produce a luscious wine.

Don't Just Take Our Word For It ...

"Caramel-gold in hue (far darker than the bottle image). Rich, complex, concentrated and luscious. Showing elements of development from the fruit and the winemaking/viticultural management. Baked pecan pie, honeysuckle cordial, lemon curd, toffee, mocha, cumquat marmalade and light toast.
Still bursting with life. There’s a textural element that provides depth, too. Development has brought out the toastiness and mocha-like elements over the signature honeysuckle and preserved citrus, citrus marmalade. A steal at the price."

"Soothing aromas of honey, marmalade, tinned peaches and honeysuckle lean into a golden lacquer of tinned peach syrup, pineapples, yellow apples and guava flavours. Lasts for what feels like an eternity on the palate. This Nagambie-grown icon is sweet, yet well balanced and provides equal pleasure poured over vanilla ice cream or teamed with salty cheese blue, pecorino or feta cheese. Sensational value for a well-built sticky."

“Marsanne gets to showcase its versatility at Tahbilk. Here, it knocks the dessert-style sweetie out of the park with its complexity and adroit winemaking. Striking gold/green hue. Orange peel, nougat, stone fruit and candied-fruit aromas transform into utter lusciousness on the palate. Smooth as glass. Can take chilling.”
